Volt Workforce Solutions is immeciately hiring for 2nd shift 2nd
Shift Conventional-Manual Machinist in Valley Center, CA.
As a Conventional-Manual Machinist you will:
Set up and operate a variety of manual machines, including mills,
lathes, waterjets, and saws.
Document machine setup data and maintain accurate records, files,
and updates as needed.
Work to close tolerances and select appropriate speeds, feeds, and
tooling based on materials and machining conditions, using
reference manuals.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals to
accurately machine parts.
Sharpen and replace tools as necessary to ensure quality and
efficiency.
Apply statistical methods and quality control techniques to monitor
product conformance.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures without
exception.
Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards as outlined in
Survival Systems International's Quality Manual.
Accurately log time and activities in ERP systems according to job
requirements.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper
functionality and longevity.
This is a full time opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience producing machined parts and assemblies
Read drawings and specifications
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, or
government regulations. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees,
managers, clients, customers, auditors, and the general public.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
MS Office; time keeping manufacturing software, database software,
and Quality Systems Management Programs.
High school diploma and two to four years of related experience
and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Understand mechanical principles and operating requirements of
power, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Capable of using hand, power, mechanical tools, and power testing
equipment.
Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

Pay Rate: 28.00-34.00/hr, plus shift differential
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
