Job Description Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has served
the greater San Diego community since 1924. For more than a

heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services
(including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a
nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center. This is a
Full-Time (72 hours per pay period, every 2 weeks) position on a
12-hour NIGHT shift schedule working variable days of the week
including weekends and holidays. Position floats between Scripps
Memorial Hospital La Jolla and Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
This position covers both Labor&Delivery and post-partum. Join

team of Registered Nurses responsible for providing direct patient
care within the scope of his/her practice. - Patient care includes
assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating
patients' progress towards expected outcomes. - The RN takes
primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the
Care Team under his/her supervision. - Works collaboratively with
other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient
care. LI-JS1 Preferred Education/Course(s)/Training/Experience: -
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. - RNC preferred. - 2 years’
experience in Labor & Delivery preferred. - EPIC experience
preferred. - Experience circulating in the operating room is
preferred. - Triage experience preferred. Required
Experience/Specialized Skills: - 1-year experience in Labor and
Delivery. - 1-year experience in Post-Partum. - Must be able to
speak, read and follow instructions in English. - Excellent
interpersonal skills. - Must be able to demonstrate positive
behaviors. - Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of
nursing Required Certification/Registration: - Current CA RN
License - Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association. -
Current Advanced NRP (AAP-issued 8th edition or AAP-issued 7th
edition) - Current Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring
Certificate from AWHONN or NCC Position is eligible for a retention
bonus based off qualifications. The following are not eligible for

retention incentive the following criteria must be met - Must
remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in
offer letter) - Must remain in original department/specialty - Must
remain in original Job Title - Transfers to other locations will be
reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting
remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer

$59.16-$85.68/hour
