Summary One Heart Behavioral is a multi-specialty, outpatient
behavioral health agency actively seeking experienced Clinical
Therapists.Must be an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate
Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Professional Clinical
Counselor. This job opening will serve to fill multiple current and
upcoming Clinical Therapist vacancies servicing the San Fernando
Valley region of Los Angeles, California for regular, temporary,
and per diem positions.As a Clinical Therapist, you will provide
face-to-face and/or telehealth psychosocial assessments, mental
health evaluations, and therapeutic counseling for vulnerable
individuals and families conducting timely, comprehensive clinical
assessments, facilitating trauma-informed counseling, and preparing
professional documentation for legal and clinical use. This role
offers flexible scheduling, autonomy in clinical delivery, and the
opportunity to make a meaningful impact in underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities: Interview clients, relatives, and other
involved persons to gather personal and social data relevant to
assessing mental or emotional disorders. Develop service plans with
consumers; evaluate psychological, economic, vocational,
educational, physical, health, socialization, and housing needs.
Coordinate with other staff members (psychiatrists, psychologists,
and other program staff) and community agencies in carrying out and
designing treatment or rehabilitation plans. Assist clients and
other concerned individuals in understanding the nature of major
psychological illnesses and their psychosocial effects. Assist
clients and their families in understanding and choosing options of
mental health treatment. Initiate and conduct individual,
collateral, group, and family therapy sessions. Establish and
maintain effective contact with local area mental health resources,
including community members, parents, schools, residential
facilities, and other agencies/organizations. Prepare reports and
write correspondence. Licensed level, within the scope of
licensure, may provide clinical supervision to unlicensed
clinicians. Coordinate clinical decisions in response to
operational demands. Conduct clinical discussions regarding complex
or difficult cases. Respond to emergencies, within licensure, which
may occur on the unit. Coordinate the flow of information and
clinical data to ensure continuity in treatment or shift. Maintain
complete client records including: service authorization forms,
assessment and treatment documentation, session logs, start/end
times, missed, declined, or canceled appointment records. Minimum
Qualifications: Active California Licensure as Associate Clinical
Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor Must be in good standing
with California State Board of Behavioral Sciences License Meet
background check requirements. Experience in clinical assessment
and treatment of vulnerable populations. Ability to work
independently and maintain professional boundaries. Bilingual in
English and Spanish preferred Skills & Competencies: Principles,
techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case
management, and various treatment modalities; Biological,
behavioral and environmental aspects of emotional disturbances,
mental disability, and substance abuse; Culturally proficient
practices with diverse case load; Scope and activities of the
public and private health and welfare agencies and other available
resources; and Principles and techniques of mental health
education, prevention, and crisis intervention within the
community. Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and child/family systems.
Cultural and linguistic competency. Flexibility in service delivery
(e.g., in-home, in-office, telehealth). Proficiency in interpreting
psychological and social assessments. Work Conditions: Travel may
be required to client homes and/or community settings. Services may
be scheduled outside of traditional office hours to accommodate
clients. Work Location: Hybrid/Remote in Reseda, CA
