our community. Highlights: Full time position Location: Newport
Beach, CA Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Outpatient
role with occasional inpatient duties including first assist
support, rounding, consultations and discharges Competitive

staff Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Thoracic Surgery PA
assists the supervising surgeon in the operating room, but also
plays an integral role in the global management of patients
undergoing cardiothoracic, vascular, or aortic surgery. Includes
all aspects of peri-operative care from performing patient
histories and daily rounds to invasive surgical procedures,
including the critical retrieval of vascular tissue in coronary
bypass procedures Competitive candidates must have extensive
knowledge of artificial cardiac devices, ventilators and the
pharmacologic effects of vasoactive/cardiotonic drugs The PA also
provides patient care expertise in the postoperative acute care
units, step-down units and regular floors First assist in the O.R.,
participate in aortic clinic, endovascular vein harvesting
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Thoracic
Surgery PA or Surgical PA required Active CA Physician Assistant
License in good standing Graduate from an accredited PA program
Knowledge of Epic EMR preferred Experience working in a hospital
setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective
patient interaction and education. Ability to be adaptable based on
