Job Description:
A company is looking for a Remote Per Diem Coder, Ortho.
Key Responsibilities
Review patient medical records and translate information into
coding for insurance claims
Provide technical guidance to medical staff on coding issues and
ensure compliance with documentation standards
Conduct peer reviews and audits of clinical documentation to
validate coding accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Required Qualifications
High school diploma required; coursework in anatomy and physiology
and medical terminology preferred
Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA required (e.g., CPC, COC,
CCS)
2 years of equivalent work experience required
Minimum of 5 years of coding experience required
Advanced proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers for
coding professional fee services
