Job Description Job Description Summit Anaheim, CA. has a
current open position for CAM Engineer. Summit Interconnect is a
manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a
specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique
expertise in RF/Microwave applications. Under general supervision
the CAM Engineer is responsible for editing electronic data
supplied by the customer to meet manufacturing specs. Edits
customer-supplied data on graphic screen, adjusts line width,
spacing, pad size, hole size, copper to edge and plating to
manufacturing specifications. Creates panelization to step and
repeat one up data onto panel form. Creates AOI, Drill, Rout and
manufacturing specifications or to customer revisions changes.
Modifies tooling, if problems exist. Re-plots production tooling
according to manufacturing needs. Qualifications: To perform this
job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of three (3)
years in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability
required. Responsibilities: Accurately tool a job on company CAM
system using Genesis software. Provide all NC data required for
manufacturing. Generate data required by ET department. Review
prints and purchase orders. Scale and output Drill programs and/or
Rout programs upon request. Send scaled Artwork to plot upon
request. Output LDI data. Generate tools for the shop floor per
Summit standards and capabilities. Panelize the one up edited data
into production panel and add coupons. Authorities: Tool jobs.
Verify customer prints pertaining to tooling. Safely modify
customer data when required. Required Skills: Must be able to
research and develop new CAM processes. Must be proficient in
rigid, flex, rigid/flex, and sequential lam designs. Must be able
to perform job with little supervision. Must be able to cooperate
and communicate effectively with customers, management, and
supervisory staff. Ability to effectively follow company systems
and procedures. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or
equivalent. Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in
the printed circuit industry with two (2) years as a CAM Engineer
using Genesis software. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit
and or stand for long periods. Compensation/Benefits: Summit offers
