seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Controller
to join our growing team based in Ventura County, California. This
pivotal role demands a seasoned financial professional with strong
expertise in cost accounting, compliance, and team leadership, who
can ensure the financial integrity of our operational activities.
The Operations Controller will play a key role in streamlining
accounting processes, providing insightful financial analysis, and
partnering with multiple stakeholders to drive strategic business
decisions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work
on-site, leading a dedicated finance team within a dynamic
organization known for its operational excellence and commitment to
sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and
ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements, cost reports, and forecasts. Manage all aspects of cost
accounting, including volume estimates and per-unit amortization
rate adjustments. Track, approve, and report Capital Expenditures
(CapEx) across operational entities in collaboration with division
management. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies,
procedures, and US GAAP. Develop and maintain robust internal
controls and monitoring systems. Collaborate closely with division
management and partners to deliver timely and accurate operational
financial analysis. Lead and mentor a team of Accounting Managers
and operational accountants. Identify and implement process
improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Utilize ERP
systems (preferably Oracle) to support financial data management
and reporting. Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
across diverse teams and international partners. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,
or a related field is required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a
Controller role or senior finance leadership position within
private industry or public accounting. Fluent proficiency in
English and Spanish, with >95% bilingual communication skills
essential for this role. Demonstrated advanced experience with ERP
systems, preferably Oracle, including financial reporting, data
management, and process enhancements. Strong technical expertise in
cost accounting principles, compliance with US GAAP, and internal
control frameworks. Proven leadership and team management skills,
with a track record of developing high-performing accounting teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention
to detail and accuracy. Effective interpersonal and communication
skills, able to collaborate cross-functionally and present
financial information to diverse stakeholders. CPA, CMA, or MBA
certification strongly preferred. Ability to handle multiple
priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 5% as
